Is ‘The Outpost’ On Tonight? Season 1, Episode 8 Delayed
The CW’s summer fantasy series “The Outpost” is busy with an important mission this week and won’t be airing a new episode tonight.
Coming off of Labor Day weekend, the network has decided to delay Season 1, episode 8 of the series and instead broadcast a repeat of “The Outpost” during its usual 9 p.m. EDT time slot. The next new episode, titled “Beyond the Wall,” will premiere next Tuesday, Sept. 11.
In this upcoming installment of the show, “Talon (Jessica Green), Janzo (Anand Desai Barochia) and Garret (Jake Stormoen) venture into forbidden territory in search of the Book of Names,” the episode synopsis reveals. Meanwhile, there’s an army heading to the gates of the Outpost. This episode was written by Kynan Griffin and Jason Faller and directed by Clare Neiderpruem.
In Season 1, episode 7, which was the last new episode of “The Outpost,” viewers found out that Janzo (Anand Desai Barochia) has a twin sister somewhere out there who was sold into slavery. Meanwhile, Garrett was out fighting against an army of plaguelings, and, in the process, he was bitten by one. Will he turn into one of the zombie-like creatures? That’s something that remains to be seen.
Also, Gwynn (Imogen Waterhouse) found out that Wythers (Andrew Howard) was likely responsible for the death of her handmaiden, leading her to wish death upon him. Unfortunately, because he’s blackmailing her with letters detailing her secrets that will be released if he’s killed, Gwynn was unable to sentence him to death. Instead, she sent him to the mines, where he’ll simply wish he was dead.
As for tonight’s repeat airing of episode 5, which is titled “Bone to Pick,” fans will get a refresher of when Wythers blackmailed Gwynn into allowing him to kill Talon (Jessica Green). Luckily, Talon was able to find her way out of the situation, but when she realized she almost died because of Gwynn, it, of course, hurt their relationship.
Watch this old episode of “The Outpost” tonight on The CW at 9 p.m. EDT, and then come back to the network next Tuesday for a brand new one.
