A new set of "Overwatch 2" leaks has surfaced online, revealing new heroes, as well as details on the release of the game's beta.
Rumors about the "Overwatch 2" beta have been making rounds online over the past weeks after details about a meeting between developers and content creators were leaked. Many believe the game's beta build might launch sometime in February.
A new leak claiming to have the details of the game's upcoming heroes, as well as the beta's launch date is gaining traction within the community. This was posted on the MMO-Champion forums by a user who claims to have knowledge of "World of Warcraft" and "Overwatch 2."
According to the leak, the "Overwatch 2" closed beta will start in late February with a public beta test following suit in March. It also mentioned that Sojourn, Yako and Mauga are the three new heroes that will be available at the beta.
"They'll be announcing two more new heroes: Mauga (buff tank dude that dual-wields gatling guns) and Yako (teenage ninja girl with a giant shuriken and pet fox spirit)," the user claimed. "Closed beta will start in late Feb, and a public PvE demo that is scheduled to run for two weeks in mid-March (console and PC)."
While Sojourn is a known name among fans of the game sequel, the names Yako and Mauga are new and interesting. There was a character named Mauga when Baptiste was first launched to the original title.
Yako was mentioned on the Kanezaka deathmatch map. While these details are interesting, they are not official. Blizzard has not yet said anything about the release of the sequel's beta.
