'Overwatch' King's Row Event? Video Teases Tracer Skin, More Omnic Crisis Backstory

It’s been a bit quiet on the Overwatch front for a bit, but Blizzard just released a new teaser for something coming April 11. The video on the PlayOverwatch account shows the “Overwatch Mission Archives” about the “King’s Row Uprising” archived seven years ago. All Overwatch maps tell a story, and the British King’s Row’s tale is still unknown. This looks to be a major lore event, just like the one we had for Numbani that introduced Orisa.

Some other notable things from the video:

• “Mandatory Robot Registration”: We know the U.K. isn’t to kind to omnics. In the Tracer/ Widowmaker cinematic, a delegate for the robot race was shot on King’s Row. The whole city was built on the back of robot laborers, but the people of the town still detest the bots. Maybe something awful happened during the Omnic Crisis that made Britain detest their robot brethren. There’s a QR code on the poster, but it’s not possible to scan right now.

• Tracer skin: in the middle of the video, you can see a hologram of Tracer doing a full 360, but something is off. She’s wearing a new suit with a helmet, though you really can’t see much of it.

• Ability icons: At the top left, you can see ability icons in Overwatch: Ice Wall, Crossfade, Configuration and a few more.
