Paris Hilton, DJ? The Hilton heiress made her spinning debut at Brazil's Pop Music Festival this weekend in Sao Paulo and the response was anything but hot.

Hilton was booed when she took to the stage to perform her set, which included songs like Rihanna's We Found Love, according to The Mirror.

But the 31-year-old celebrity did not seem to mind.

I had so much fun deejaying at the Pop Music Festival, Hilton told E! News. I could not have been happier with the crowd's reaction to my set. It felt so good to be in control of the party and see everyone dancing!

Hilton hit the stage after Jennifer Lopez and Kelly Clarkson's performances. She closed the show with her new single, Last Night.

Recently I have been working in the studio with DJ Poet, who produces and deejays for the Black Eyed Peas, she added. I also spent the last year traveling to different shows around the world with Afrojack. This was a great experience, to watch how he engages the crowd and creates great energy at these parties.

Hilton had been dating Afrojack, a fellow DJ, but he reportedly dumped her in May after just six months.

Paris was smitten with him, but AfroJack just wanted to have fun and not be exclusive with anyone, a source told RadarOnline.com. He is on the road practically every day performing in clubs all over the world, and he just isn't ready to settle down, whereas Paris is.

It seems like Hilton's DJ career has taken on a life of its own, whether the heiress is single or not.

She told E! News that she will not be dropping her other professional ventures for DJ-ing.

My brand and stores and products will always be my business and that won't change, but music is my personal passion, she said. Being a DJ you get to create the party and bring happiness to so many people with your music. For me this is something I am very excited about.
