Paris Jackson Net Worth 2017: Michael Jackson's Daughter Signs Contract With IMG Models, Says She Would Not Make Music Her Career
Michael Jackson's daughter Paris Jackson signed a contract with IMG models Thursday and became an official high-fashion model, Ivan Bart, the president of IMG models, announced the news on his Instagram page.
After the confirmation, the 18-year-old wrote on her Instagram account: "Thank you @imgmodels i feel very lucky and blessed." IMG models has previously represented several big names such as Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid, Alessandra Ambrosio, Hailey Baldwin and Candice Swanepoel.
Paris Jackson currently has a net worth of $100 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. She is the second child of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, and was born on April, 3, 1998, in Beverly Hills, California. Her birth name was Paris Michael Katharine Jackson, and her mother, Deborah Rowe, was a former nurse. She has been an active user on Twitter and has over 1,000,000 followers. Since her father's death in 2009, Paris Jackson has made more number of public appearances.
Paris Jackson was said to have attempted suicide several times due to self esteem issues. "Just once it became public. It was just self-hatred. Low self-esteem, thinking that I couldn't do anything right, not thinking I was worthy of living anymore," she told Rolling Stone in an interview in January. After her last suicide attempt at the age of 15, she was sent to a therapeutic school in Utah. "It was great for me. I'm a completely different person," she added.
She appeared at more public events recently, including the Grammys last month. She is also reportedly hoping to make her acting debut later this year on Fox's new series called "Star." When asked if she would take up music as a career like her father, she said it wasn't something she would want to follow as a career.
"I write music for myself. I use it as a way to get stuff out. It's not something I see myself following career-wise. There are so many amazing artists in my family. If I were to do it as a career, it would change how I feel about music and I don't want that to happen," she said in an interview for Carine Roitfeld's CR Fashion Book in February, which featured her on the cover.
