'Path Of Exile': 4 Useful Early Game Vendor Recipes
KEY POINTS
- Certain item combos can be traded for specific equipment
- More advanced recipes require rarer materials
- Potions can be upgraded by using vendor recipes
The path to getting all of the shiniest pieces of loot in "Path of Exile" is a long and arduous one, especially for new players or those who are just getting their new league characters out into the open.
Trudging through the early parts of the game can be a little tedious. The item drops aren't all that great, and the majority of the game's exciting skill gems are locked behind the third act for Level 28 characters and above. Due to this, many players resort to speedrunning through the first two acts as quickly as possible.
One of the best ways to get good items early on is by using vendor recipes to craft useful gear. This will help with getting to the meat of the game faster, and everyone should know at least a few of these recipes for posterity's sake. Here are four vendor recipes that every "Path of Exile" player should know.
Simply take the items to any vendor and place them on the "sell" window.
Physical Damage Infusion
- Any normal weapon
- Magic or Rare Rustic Sash
- 1x Blacksmith's Whetstone
This is great for physical damage skills like Dual Strike, Perforate and the Steel skills. Later on, players should be able to infuse weapons with bonus physical damage via the Hideout's crafting table, which will make this method obsolete rather quickly.
Elemental Damage Infusion
- Any magic weapon
- 1x Ring
- 1x Orb of Alteration
Much like the recipe above, this is great for players who want to add some more damage to their weapons and skills. However, this one will instead add elemental damage based on the type of ring used in the recipe.
Gemcutter's Prism Recipe
- Any gem with 20% quality or more
Selling a decent-quality gem will yield a Gemcutter's Prism, which can be used to upgrade the quality of other skill gems. Alternatively, players can trade a bunch of gems whose total quality reaches 40% or more.
Flask Upgrades
- Three of any same-sized flasks
This is extremely useful for making sure that the player's potion belt is full of useful flasks. Combine any three of the same flasks (like a Small Life Flask, for example) to upgrade it to the next tier. This works with all flask types.
