Patrick Dempsey Attends ‘Bridget Jones’s Baby’ Premiere With Wife Jillian Fink After Calling Off Divorce [PHOTOS]
Patrick Dempsey took his whole family to the world premiere of his new film “Bridget Jones’s Baby” at Odeon Leicester Square in London, England on Monday, Sept.5.
The 50-year-old actor was joined by his wife Jillian Fink, their daughter Tallula, 14, and twin sons Darby and Sullivan, 9, on the red carpet, where they posed for some photos together. The premiere night marked Patrick and Jillian’s first official public appearance since calling off their divorce a few months ago.
Jillian filed for divorce from the “Grey’s Anatomy” alum in January 2015 after more than 15 years of marriage. “It is with careful consideration and mutual respect that we have decided to end our marriage,” the pair said in a joint statement to E! News at the time. “Our primary concern remains the well-being of our children, and we ask with profound gratitude that you respect our family's privacy at this very sensitive time.”
Reconciliation rumors, however, began to surface when the exes started appearing in public together at the end of the year. In January, a source told People that couple’s divorce plans had been nixed.
“There are no more divorce plans. Patrick and Jillian plan on being a family again,” the source said, noting that Jillian’s divorce filing was “definitely a wakeup call” for Patrick.
Patrick confirmed the reconciliation during an interview with ES Magazine last May. “You have to work at everything,” he told the publication. “And you cannot do everything. Something has to be sacrificed.”
In “Bridget Jones’s Baby,” Patrick plays Jack Qwant, Bridget Jones’ (Renée Zellweger) new love interest following her recent breakup with her boyfriend Mark Darcy (Colin Firth). Things couldn't be better, until Bridget discovers that she is pregnant, and since she just had back-to-back hookups with Jack and Mark, she, along with her friends, must find out who between the two guys is the father of her baby.
“Bridget Jones’s Baby” will hit U.S. theaters on Friday, Sept. 16.
