Patrick Dempsey Celebrates 'Haute Living LA' Cover With Tag Heuer At Nobu Malibu
An intimate crowd came together at Nobu Malibu in celebration of Patrick Dempsey’s Haute Living Los Angeles cover for the September/October issue.
Dempsey or Dr. Derek “McDreamy”, as many may know him as, was the star of Haute Living LA’s most recent issue and was without a doubt, the star of the night on Tuesday. Dempsey’s favorite watch brand, TAG Heuer, partnered in the affair to put together a very special evening for him.
The pleasant warm weather and the gentle pacific breeze made for a perfect night to host a celebration on the famed outdoor deck of Nobu Malibu. As the sun set, white candles lit up the space and guests mingled with cocktails in hand—the 2006 Moet & Chandon “Grand Vintage” Brut champagne being a favorite amongst many.
Patrick was surrounded by his close friends, Haute Living CEO and Publisher, Kamal Hotchandani, Editor-in-Chief Laura Schreffler and Francoise Bezzola, VP of communications for TAG Heuer. Other boldface names such as David Foster and the folks from Crime by Design showed up to celebrate the guest of honor. Shorty after guests were seated, Hotchandani took a moment to make a toast honoring Dempsey and thanking those present. Francoise Bezzola also said a few words and once again thanked TAG Heuer brand ambassador, Dempsey, who grazed the cover sporting a TAG Heuer timepiece. With that, the dinner was off to a start.
On the menu for Dempsey and guests: okra, yellowtail jalapeño, whitefish new style, baby artichoke salad, ocean trout crispy spinach, ribeye truffle butter, an assortment of sushi and sushi rolls, and of course, can’t forget the dessert. While guests enjoyed their dinner, Dempsey made his rounds, visiting each table to say hello.
As the night came to a close, two things were for sure: a lot of champagne was drunk and a good time was definitely had with Dempsey and guests. A celebration indeed.
