Patrick Mahomes won the 2018 NFL MVP award and a year later won the Super Bowl LIV MVP award by leading the Kansas City Chiefs past the San Francisco 49ers. The 24-year-old is favored to win more hardware next season.

Mahomes has the best odds to be named the MVP of the 2020 NFL regular season. He leads all players at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook with 4/1 odds.

A knee injury forced Mahomes to miss two starts and the better part of another game in the 2019 season. He finished with 4,031 passing yards, 26 touchdowns and five interceptions. Mahomes led the league with 50 touchdown passes in 2018, throwing for 5,097 yards and a 113.8 passer rating.

With a Super Bowl title, a pair of trips to the AFC Championship Game and a 108.9 passer rating his first two years as a starter, Mahomes has proven himself to be the best quarterback in football.

Mahomes didn’t win the 2019 MVP award. It was Lamar Jackson that was named the NFL’s most valuable player, and he did so unanimously. After posting 3,127 passing yards, 1,206 rushing yards and 43 total touchdowns, Jackson has 6/1 MVP odds for 2020.

Jackson led the Baltimore Ravens to an NFL-best 14-2 record in his first full season as a starter. He had a 113.3 passer rating and only six interceptions.

Russell Wilson was the 2019 MVP favorite midway through the season before Jackson ran away with the race. He’s third with 10/1 MVP odds for next year. Wilson has led the Seattle Seahawks to eight straight winning seasons, throwing more than 30 touchdown passes in each of the last three years.

Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson is fourth with 12/1 odds. Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz both have 16/1 odds.

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers have 20/1 odds. Brees has made 13 Pro Bowl appearances and Rodgers is a two-time MVP winner.

Kyler Murray also has 20/1 odds. Last year’s No.1 overall pick was named the 2019 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. Murray started every game for the Arizona Cardinals, throwing for 3,722 yards, 20 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in addition to 544 yards and four scores on the ground.

Three-time MVP Tom Brady and 2016 MVP Matt Ryan have 30/1 odds.

Ezekiel Elliott and Christian McCaffrey are given the best chance of any non-quarterback to win the award with 30/1 MVP odds. Elliott has won two rushing titles in four seasons with Dallas. McCaffrey had 2,392 yards from scrimmage for the Carolina Panthers last season.

Adrian Peterson was the last running back to win the MVP award, doing so in 2012. A quarterback has been the NFL MVP in 12 of the last 13 years.
