Patti LaBelle Accused Screaming at Toddler, Attempting to Hit Mother

Patti LaBelle, the famous rhythm-and-blues singer, was accused of screaming a toddler and taking a swing at the mother outside of a Manhattan apartment.

Kevin and Roseanna Monk claimed that LaBelle's encounter with their 18 months old was completely inappropriate. They filed a lawsuit in against her in Manhattan Supreme Court.

Sam Davis, the lawyer for the Monks', said that his clients' child was running around in the lobby of a Riverside Blvd. apartment in November when LaBelle started yelling.

What are you doing letting your kid run around like that?' Davis quoted LaBelle as asking Roseanna Monk, according to The Daily News. Are you happy that this is what you have done to this baby?!

She then took a swing at his swing at the mother. Her entourage immediately put her into their car and the baby threw up on her mother, Roseanna.

Violence seems to be part of their road show, said Davis.
