Paula Patton Reacts To Backlash Over Fried Chicken Recipe [Watch]

Paula Patton responded to the backlash she received for a fried chicken recipe she shared on Instagram last month. The 46-year-old actress shared her mother's style of fried chicken, which was criticized by Instagram users as they claimed in the comments that she neither washed the meat properly nor seasoned the wings well enough.

"It’s all good because everybody’s got their own way of making things," Patton shared a video message to address the backlash Tuesday on Instagram. "And I’ll take suggestions, I’ll make a new kind of fried chicken, but I’m gonna always make my mom’s chicken the way she did it."

"We put the seasoning in the oil and all that. It’s just the way we do it," she added as many people criticized her for adding the seasoning after putting the chicken in the oil for frying. "Peace, love and fried chicken," she captioned the post.

The fried chicken video went viral on various platforms including Twitter and TikTok where many shared their reaction to Patton's recipe, with one even saying that it ruined their day.

Actor Mark L. Walberg also took to Twitter to share his reaction, "Paula patton’s chicken is like eating dry cap’n crunch and then drinking milk."

"I used to have the fattest crush on Paula Patton," a Twitter user wrote. "But after today, I ask that you give my family our privacy at this time. Thank you."
