‘Peaky Blinders’ Concludes Filming For Season 3 [PHOTOS]
It’s time to celebrate with the Shelby boys! Friday, Jan. 22 marks the final day of shooting for “Peaky Blinders” Season 3.
Fans of the series have been anxiously waiting on a release date for the highly anticipated third season. While the official Twitter page for the show has been keeping its followers up to date, it hasn’t been able to provide any insight as to when the new installment will drop. However, it appears as if Season 3 is closer than ever with filming for the episodes nearly complete.
Cinematographer Laurie Rose took to Twitter Friday to share a photo of her call sheet. The paper revealed that it was shoot day “78 of 78” for the third season of the BBC Two series.
Meanwhile, actor Harry Kirton, who plays Finn Shelby, shared a photo of his wrap gift. “Last day of filming today,” he captioned the image. “I’ve had a lovely time filming this series!”
“Peaky Blinders” is a UK show that became popular in the United States thanks to Netflix. The first two seasons were released on the streaming site in November 2014, and fans have been waiting for more ever since.
Whenever the third season does get released, viewers will find themselves watching Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) tie the knot. However, his bride to be is currently a mystery. The Season 2 finale ended with his ex-lover, Grace (Annabelle Wallis), confessing that she’s pregnant. However, his new woman, May (Charlotte Riley), holds the power to get the legal gambling licenses he needs to make his organization legitimate. Tommy’s decision won’t be an easy one. His heart will be pointing towards Grace, but his desire for success may lead him towards May.
“I think it will be the best yet,” creator Steven Knight said in a October press release. “I think it will be the best yet. Lots of things familiar but lots of things are new. It’s still a Birmingham story and it always will be. Now it has international consequences. I can’t wait to see it myself.”
“Peaky Blinders” Season 3 will be released in 2016.
