A mother-of-two was found dead Monday evening inside a vehicle in East Goshen Township, Pennsylvania. Her two young children - an infant and a 3-year-old were in the vehicle's backseat.

Police were called to the area of North Chester Road and Meadow Creek Lane on June 8 after a motorist reported a vehicle stopped on the shoulder of the road. When officers arrived at the scene they found a white 2020 GMC Terrain running with the doors locked.

A 29-year-old woman, of Downingtown, was found dead in the driver’s seat and there was a 6-month-old and 3-year-old in the car's backseats. The children were transported to Chester County Hospital for medical evaluation.

The two boys were released from Chester County Hospital to their father after consultation Chester County Children, Youth, and Family, according to local media.

During a search of the vehicle, police found an unknown amount of illegal controlled substance. It remains unclear as to how the woman died. Police are investigating the incident.

Authorities urged the public to come forward with any information regarding the incident.

The Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department received assistance from the Goshen Fire Company, Malvern Fire Company, East Whiteland Police Department, Chester County District Attorney’s Office, Chester County Coroner’s Office, Chester County Children, Youth and Family and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

In another incident, a woman was found dead Monday night in a wooded area of a York County state park, Pennsylvania. Another woman was found alive and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the incident that took place at Gifford Pinchot State Park in Warrington Township. The current condition of the woman, who was found alive, is unknown.

The identity of the woman who died will be released pending her family’s notification. The woman's body was sent for autopsy to determine her cause of death.
