Davidson and Beckinsale have been in a relationship for just a few short months, but the comedian is already meeting his girlfriend’s parents. Beckinsale had dinner with his mother, Judy Loe, and her stepfather, Roy Battersby, at Nobu in Malibu, California on Tuesday, and they were joined by her boyfriend, Entertainment Tonight reported.

Beckinsale and Davidson were seen at the front seats of the car, with the latter in the driver’s seat, while the actress’ parents sat at the back. The family was seen driving away at night after their dinner.

The dinner is significant because it is the 40th anniversary of Beckinsale’s father’s death. Her father, Richard Beckinsale, was an actor, and he died of a heart attack in 1979 when he was just 31 years old.

Beckinsale recently posted a tribute to her father on Instagram with pictures of him, and she said that she missed him. The actress was just 5 years old when her father passed away. The photos she shared on social media included a shot of her as a baby with her parents. Another picture showed her as a young girl smiling with her parents.

There was a bit of a controversy between Davidson and Beckinsale after some fans started talking about the big age difference between the two. Davidson addressed this issue head on in a segment on “Saturday Night Live.”

Davidson said that people have a “crazy fascination” when it comes to the two decades age difference between him and his girlfriend. He pointed out that there is a big age difference when it comes to many other celebrities, especially in Hollywood.

The only difference between Davidson and some of the other celebrities he mentioned is that he is dating a woman who is older than him, while the other male celebrities chose to date younger women.
