KEY POINTS

- Davidson says it takes one month to heal after a laser session
- The comedian will be next seen in "The Suicide Squad"
Pete Davidson is getting rid of his 100+ tattoos but it is going to be a long process. The comedian says it will take more than two years to remove all of them from his body.
"I get my next treatment [in] like a month or so," the "Saturday Night Live" host told People on Tuesday. "They said by the time I'm 30, they should all be gone. So they got like two more years left of this."
The 27-year-old comedian revealed he did not have any laser treatments in the last four or five months. "It takes like a month for it to heal" after a session, he said.
After the news dropped, fans shared their concern regarding laser removal. One of the fans captioned a photo of Davidson, "Pete Davidson is removing all his tattoos.. It'll take about 2 years and cost about $25,000.. Remember to make smart choices!"
This was not the first time that the comedian's tattoo removal process made headlines.
Davidson appeared on "Late Night With Seth Meyers" in May and said the tattoo removal process was very tough.
"Burning them off is worse than getting them, because not only are they burning off your skin, but you're wearing these big goggles, right?" Davidson said. "So you can't see anything, and the doctor's in there with you."
Film critic Mike McGranaghan took to Twitter in December last year to share a screenshot of a virtual Q&A session and revealed that Pete Davidson was "getting all his tattoos removed!"
When one of the fans asked the reason, McGranaghan explained, "He said it takes 3-4 hours in the makeup chair to cover them, so he figured 'it would be easier to get them burned off.'"
Davidson has more than 100 tattoos, including one with his late father Scott Davidson's ID card. Davidson's father was a firefighter, who died in 2001.
The comedian will be next seen in the highly anticipated "The Suicide Squad," which is slated to release on Aug. 6. The action-adventure will also star John Cena, Margot Robbie and Sylvester Stallone.
