The Philadelphia Eagles survived a “must-win” game against the New York Giants in Week 12. After managing to stay in the NFC East race, the team is hoping to get healthy as they try to make a push toward the playoffs.

Philadelphia had a depleted secondary in their 25-22 win over New York. Defensive backs Jalen Mills, Sidney Jones and Avonte Maddox all sat with injuries, while Rasul Douglas was limited to two snaps. Linebacker Jordan Hicks also didn’t play.

“Well, all the guys that missed last week are doing really well,” Eagles’ head coach Doug Pederson said Monday, via pennlive.com. “We don't practice until Thursday, so we got a couple days here, but you talk about Jalen, I think he's doing well and he's still day-to-day, Sidney's day-to-day, Avonte's day-to-day.

“Jordan Hicks is probably a little longer than that, but we'll see. We'll see come Wednesday and Thursday when we get the guys back in here in order to see where we're at.”

The Eagles have to win their Week 13 contest if they want any chance of winning the division. They’ll host the Washington Redskins on “Monday Night Football.” Philadelphia is a game behind both Washington and the Dallas Cowboys.

Because Alex Smith is done for the season, the Eagles are favored over the Redskins. Philadelphia plays Washington two times, and they’ll visit Dallas in Week 14.

Winning in Week 15 seems like a long shot since Philadelphia will visit the Los Angeles Rams. A loss to the Rams probably won’t end the Eagles’ NFC East hopes if they can win the rest of their divisional games.

Philadelphia will host the Houston Texans in Week 16.

Washington has the easiest remaining schedule of the NFC East contenders. Aside from their NFC East games, they’ll play on the road against both the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Dallas has to play the New Orleans Saints, Indianapolis Colts and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in addition to the Eagles and Giants.

Both the Eagles and Redskins are 2-1 in the division. The Cowboys have a 3-1 record against NFC East opponents.
