Writer and actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge has signed a major deal to make new TV shows for Amazon.

According to Variety, the 34-year-old actress, who won three Emmy awards last Sunday night, will produce and create new content for Amazon Studios which will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.

The “Fleabag” creator shared she was “insanely excited” with the exclusive contract and can’t wait to get going.

“I am insanely excited to be continuing my relationship with Amazon. Working with the team on ‘Fleabag’ was the creative partnership dreams are made of. It really feels like home. I can’t wait to get going,” Waller-Bridge said.

The media outlet also noted that the deal is reportedly worth around $20 million a year.

Talking about the deal, Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon Studios, said that they are thrilled to be continuing their partnership with Waller-Bridge. She admitted that “Fleabag” has been a tremendous success for them and a gift to their Prime Video customers.

But if you think that the acclaimed show is coming back for another season, then you are probably mistaken.

According to The Sun, the actress has no intentions of bringing back the award-winning show for a third season. She questioned her decision to kill the show after winning so many accolades at the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards, but she later confessed that it is the perfect time to say “goodbye” because it feels right to go out on a high note.

Waller-Bridge also admitted she had not realized how loved her show really was until now.

“Fleabag” was among the biggest winners at this year’s star-studded ceremony. The show went on to win six awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series, beating widely popular shows like “Veep” and “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.”

The actress took home two trophies for Outstanding Lead Actress in A Comedy Series and Outstanding Writing for A Comedy Series. The media outlet also reported that she became the first Brit to win the latter in 38 years.

Apart from “Fleabag,” Waller-Bridge has accumulated a lot of praise for making “Killing Eve.” The actress served as writer and showrunner on the show’s first season.
