  • Phoenix Suns insider Flex from Jersey is reminding fans to stay patient regarding Kevin Durant
  • Flex's authenticity has been questioned since he broke onto the scene in 2020
  • Suns fans believe Durant is the missing piece to winning their first-ever NBA title

The Kevin Durant sweepstakes is taking longer than expected to come to completion, and fans are starting to get tired of the “will they, won’t they” trajectory that the deal seems to be following.

Fan favorite Phoenix Suns insider Flex from Jersey took to Twitter to remind fans to exercise a bit more patience when it comes to asking for updates regarding the entire Durant saga.

“Try your best to truly understand the situation! Can't stress this enough! Patience,” Flex said while posting a GIF of a first-person view of a rollercoaster.

Unlike others who have thrown their hat into supplying fans with info regarding Durant, Flex has been most consistent with where he stands.

To Suns fans, Flex has been an important source of information since he was one of the first insiders to double down on Chris Paul being traded to their then-struggling franchise, but it does not mean that he has not been a polarizing figure at times.

Some believe that his word is gospel while others are still doubting his ability to get information from key personnel and be the one to break them, to the point that a user on the Suns’ Reddit space to chronicle everything he has said from October 2, 2020 up to May 16 of this year.

Considering that Durant’s trade request was made public by his agent Rich Kleiman on June 30, Shams Charania of The Athletic echoed Flex’s most recent statement two weeks ago when he made an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.

“This is why this is not going to be a process that is not going to play out this week. It will take multiple weeks to see if Phoenix really wants to get this deal done,” Charania said at the time.

With how complex a Durant deal is, most Suns fans see it as a war of attrition between their front office and the Nets.

It was also reported that the Nets are looking for a haul similar to what the Utah Jazz received from trading away Rudy Gobert, which is likely to be the source of the long and seemingly unending wait for NBA fans.

Phoenix has been searching for the franchise’s first-ever title and the belief that Durant could be the one to deliver it alongside Paul, Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton is a common sentiment among fans.

All that remains now is to see whether a deal does happen or it falls through.
