Angelina Jolie and her partner Brad Pitt were very affectionate to each other hugging and caressing at the UNICEF Ball in Beverly Hills, California on Thursday.

The couple was among other celebrities including George Clooney, Bruce Willis and Matt Damon but Jolie and Pitt caught the spotlight after being photographed very much into each other.

They were holding hands throughout the sit-down dinner, and at one point [Angelina] even sat on [Brad's] lap, E Online reports citing an anonymous source.

Jolie and Pitt were the subject of a new book from author Ian Halperin called Brangelina:The Untold Story of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, in which he claims the couple is heading to split.

The UNICEF event honored producer Jerry Weintraub. Also attending was former boxer champ Muhammad Ali, 67 who chatted with Jolie and Pitt.
