Piaget continues support to Film Independent Spirit Awards
For the fourth consecutive year, Swiss brand Piaget is extending its support to the Film Independent Spirit Awards that will be held on February 26, 2011.
During the nominee announcements at the London Hotel in West Hollywood on November 30, Joe McHale, the host of the upcoming 2011 Awards, indicated Piaget's involvement by wearing the Emperador Coussin Moon Phase watch in white gold with an anthracite dial.
Founded in 1874 by Georges Edouard Piaget, Piaget gradually became an established hallmark in the world of luxury and precision.
The Film Independent Spirit Awards brings together top talents from the film fraternity and is regarded as the premier awards event for the independent film community.
The nominees for the upcoming 26th annual Spirit Awards were presented by Eva Mendes and Oscar Nominee and two-time Spirit Award nominee, Jeremy Renner, who was also one among the Piaget's 'Men To Watch' in 2009.
Renner, who owns a Piaget Polo FortyFive Chronograph, also wore Piaget's new Altiplano 43mm Limited Edition timepiece to the 2010 Academy Awards.
Leading the nominations for the Best Feature were 127 Hours, Black Swan, Rabbit Hole and Greenberg.
Nominees for the Piaget Producers Award include In-Ah Lee for Au Revoir Tapei, Adele Romanski for The Myth of the American Sleepover and Anish Savjani for Meek's Cutoff.
The 26th Film Independent Spirit Awards will be held in Santa Monica, CA where Piaget will host an exclusive VIP lounge to give a sneak preview to attendees of the company's newest jewelry and watch collections.
