Pierce Brosnan Returns To Work Just Days After Daughter, Charlotte Emily, Died Of Ovarian Cancer
Actor Pierce Brosnan has resumed filming for ‘November Man,’ a spy thriller, just a few days after his daughter, Charlotte, succumbed to ovarian cancer on Friday, the Daily Mail reported.
The actor was spotted in Belgrade, Serbia, on Tuesday, shooting a sequence for the movie that is expected to release on Nov. 13, 2014. News of Charlotte’s death was announced on Monday, when Brosnan released a statement saying he hopes a cure for cancer is soon found.
“On June 28 my darling daughter Charlotte Emily passed on to eternal life, having succumbed to ovarian cancer. She was surrounded by her husband Alex, children Isabella and Lucas and brothers Christopher and Sean,” Brosnan said in a statement to People.
“Charlotte fought her cancer with grace and humanity, courage and dignity. Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our beautiful dear girl. We pray for her and that the cure for this wretched disease will be close at hand soon. We thank everyone for their heartfelt condolences.”
Charlotte’s brother, Sean Brosnan, on Tuesday paid a touching tribute to his sister by posting photographs of the 41-year-old on his Facebook page, the Daily Mail reported.
The pictures, which were clearly taken while Charlotte was going through cancer treatment, show the siblings goofing around, and one picture has Sean lifting up Charlotte in his arms. In another photograph, Sean and Charlotte are joined by her eight-year-old son, Lucas.
According to the Daily Mail, Charlotte’s half-brother Paris -- from Brosnan’s second marriage to journalist Keely Shaye Smith -- also wrote a touching letter, detailing how her battle with cancer has been an inspiration.
“From you holding me as a baby to seeing you now. You were the most amazing woman, and a true fighter, I will miss you and think about you everyday. You are a true inspiration to me, to always keep fighting for the ones you love. You will always be in my heart,” Paris wrote.
