Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls Recalled: General Mills Says Dough May Contain Plastic Pieces
On Friday, General Mills announced a voluntary recall of Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls with Icing, citing concerns that the dough might contain pieces of plastic.
Only Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls with Icing are being recalled. No other variety of Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls or Pillsbury dough products are being pulled from shelves, the company said in a statement. The voluntary recall does not affect Pillsbury Flaky Cinnamon Rolls or Pillsbury Grands! products.
According to General Mills, the recall is was announced as "a precaution because the dough may contain fragments from a broken piece of plastic on the production line." Eight-count single packages of Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls with Icing marked with "better if used" dates 30OCT2013 and 31OCT2013 should not be eaten, General Mills said. Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls with Icing 2-pack with dates 18OCT2013, 26OCT2013 and 31OCT2013 are also being recalled.
