Pink Celebrates First Thanksgiving Without Her Father: 'It's Been Such A Wild Ride'

Pink has expressed gratitude "for so many things" on Thursday's Thanksgiving Day despite her father's death in August.

The 42-year-old singer posted a photo of herself with her son, Jameson Moon Hart, 4, on her Instagram page and wrote, "Grateful for so many things. It's been such a wild ride. Happy Thanksgiving everyone."

"May your cup be full today," she added.

Fans can recall that the singer's father, Jim Moore, a Vietnam veteran, died earlier this year after a long battle with prostate cancer.

Pink shared the heartbreaking news in an Instagram post on Aug. 27, writing, "Til forever."

Her post was accompanied by two black-and-white photos of her dad dancing with her when she was a little girl and another snap taken during her 2006 wedding to Carey Hart.

Apart from that, the "Cover Me in Sunshine" singer revealed earlier this month that she's recovering from hip surgery. This came after Carey's shoulder surgery in August and another one in September for a disc replacement in his lower spine, according to People.

"Hey world! This is what 9 hours of sleep and cuddles from my kiddos looks like 7 days post hip surgery!!" the singer captioned a snap of herself smiling in a shorts and tank top combo on Nov. 18.

She also thanked the medical staff at The Steadman Clinic in Vail and Dr. Philippon for taking care of her.

"I am never not completely grateful," she continued. "It was a brutal first week full of tears and pain med depression, ulcers from meds and constant fevers, but my @hartluck brought me through."

"(No one recovers from surgery like he does, he's not real.) he brought me coffee in the shower, lugged around my 100 pound CPM contraptions everywhere I went, dried my tears, cooked me oatmeal, kept track of my meds, got me my phone charger, lugged in my compression machines, took my temp, made the bed, and talked me off the ledge," the singer continued.

Indeed, despite going through a lot, the singer and her family remain grateful this year. In time for the season's festivities, Carey, 46, shared their household's dinner menu for Thanksgiving.

He noted, "Spatchcock turkey going down!!!! Thanks coach @kendrick_bbq for all the help!!!!! This bird is gonna be good smoked/cooked on my @traegergrills.______. Happy turkey day!!!!"
