  • Sony has not yet announced the list of PlayStation Now games for October
  • But a new leak has revealed the list contains major titles
  • PS Now is available for $60 for a year's subscription

The list of PlayStation Now games for October has reportedly leaked online ahead of Sony's official announcement and it looks like it includes some interesting titles, including one controversial game, which was launched on the previous-generation gaming console.

Sony's PlayStation Store in the U.K. has updated the PlayStation Now section with games that are not available through the subscription service at the moment. Reddit user d3vstator shared a screenshot showing the games that were added to PlayStation Now.

Sony's PS Now is known for providing its subscribers access to some great games, but if the leaked image is accurate, the new list features major titles, including the controversial game "The Last of Us Part 2." The other games reportedly coming to the subscription service this month includes the greatly enhanced "Fallout 76," the western game "Desperados," the nostalgic "Final Fantasy 8 Remastered" and "Yet Another Zombie Defense."

"The Last of Us Part 2" is a third-person action-adventure, survival horror video game from Naughty Dog and Sony Interactive Entertainment. It was released on June 19, 2020, and has a 93 rating on Metacritic.

The game is the sequel to "The Last of Us" and tells the story of Ellie and Joel five years following the events of the first game. The inclusion of "Fallout 76" in the PS Now games list for October is also a shocker since the game is technically an Xbox title now.

The latest leak somehow proves that both old and new games are worth playing. It could also help clear up some stereotypes about PS Now, including the idea that old games are not worth the players' time.

PlayStation Now subscribers, however, should temper their expectations as the leak is highly speculative at the moment. The Reddit user did not say the screenshot was taken from which site.

It is also possible that Sony has made a mistake by updating the page earlier than scheduled, or testers have deliberately leaked the screenshot. There is also a chance that the screenshot has been edited.

Sony's PlayStation Now is available on PlayStation 4 and PS5. Gamers can get a 12-month subscription to the services for $60.
