  • PlayStation Plus Spain subscribers get a fourth free game in "Waves Out" this May
  • Sony has yet to explain why Spain got a fourth free game from the PS Plus service
  • "Waves Out" is a magnetic game that challenges players with tasks and duels

A new month is here, and PlayStation Plus subscribers are eager to see what free games Sony will be putting up. Three games are free this May for PS Plus subscribers, but folks over in Spain are getting a fourth freebie in “Waves Out.”

Developed by Crevice Games and released only in January, “Waves Out” is a magnetic game that challenges players to take control of “Magnetin,” a little but courageous character with magnetic powers. The objective is to attract spheres tinted with a gamer’s color to goal holes so that points can be added to the scoreboard.

For those who want to have some friendly challenges, players can test their skills in the Time Trial. It will test who among the challengers has the proper technique when using magnetic powers. Players are also reminded to look out for special powers at the arena and focus on earning stars through high scores to unlock trophies.

The game may not be much to PlayStation Plus subscribers, but any freebie should be welcome. There are three games announced as free games for May 2021: “Stranded Deep,” “Wreckfest: Drive Hard, Die Last” and “Battlefield V.” All three games are expected to be made available by May 4 until the end of the month.

“Waves Out” is only available for Spain subscribers. There remains no clarity on why the game was added only for folks in that area, although Sony could shed more light moving forward.

The three free offers for the PlayStation Plus subscription should be interesting for gamers. “Wreckfest” is a demolition derby racing game, while “Battlefield V” should entice the ones who love war strategy games. “Stranded Deep,” on the other hand, will test players' survival skills after an unfortunate plane crash.

With the new PlayStation Plus games coming on May 4, subscribers only have until May 3 to get the current free game offerings. Still available in the next couple of days are “Oddworld: Soulstorm,” “Days Gone” and “Zombie Army 4: Dead War.”
