"Pocahontas" star Irene Bedard was arrested on Aug. 19 after creating a scene on a sidewalk in Xenia, Ohio. She was charged with disorderly conduct.
According to the Xenia Police Division, Major Osburn and Major Johnson noticed Bedard in a spat with another woman on the sidewalk. In the middle of their argument, Bedard suddenly made a commotion when she "walked out into the street screaming, without any regard for traffic."
The two officers reportedly separated the other woman, identified as Sheila Johnson, from Bedard, who was then approached by a third officer to be arrested.
When asked by the officer about what happened, Bedard explained that Johnson had been trying to help her into her studio but she could not find her keys.
Police report stated that the actress had "a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on her breath" but she denied being drunk during the arrest.
"When asked if she drank anything today, she said that she didn't. but she did say that she drank a whole bottle of vodka yesterday," said one of the officers in the report. "I attempted to try to get her to give me anything. I also offered to take her to the hospital. But she said the hospital wouldn't help her."
The officer also noted that Bedard's "emotions changed rapidly" throughout their interaction, shifting from being calm to suddenly being "upset and crying."
According to police, the Disney star was also unable to give a name of someone they could contact on her behalf. When asked if there was someone they could contact to inform about the incident, Bedard "yelled that she didn't want the person called and ran away from us screaming," police said.
After almost knocking over a table on the sidewalk, she allegedly walked back toward the officers fuming and telling them about a previous incident where the police did not help her.
"She backed into a large glass window as she continued to yell at us," the report stated.
Police said Bedard had to be handcuffed during the arrest as she "tensed up her arms and tried to pull out" of the officers' grip. She was transported directly to the Greene County Jail and was released Sunday. Her arraignment is scheduled for Aug. 29.
