‘Pokemon Go’ Could Bring Back Team Rocket & Legendary Shadow Pokemon
One of the reasons why “Pokemon Go” is still a hit augmented reality mobile game three years after it was officially released is because Niantic Labs knows how to listen to its players. Over the years, the progress and improvements that players experience in the game are in part products of their feedback and suggestions. Apart from the regular events happening in the game, it appears that Niantic is hinting that it will bring back the villainous Team Rocket in “Pokemon Go,” which, as a result, could introduce the legendary Shadow Pokemon in the game.
The official Twitter account of “Pokemon Go” recently hinted about the return of the Team rocket. The account shared three new images, which seemed to be partially restored but are still corrupted. Because the images are restored and not that clear, it is hard to make out anything. The three figures, however, resemble the bosses of Team Rocket, which, many players believe could stand for the three team leaders of Mystic, valor, and Instinct.
At present, players only have theories about the identities of this image and how these key individuals will interact with “Pokemon Go” players. But, if it is the same as the Team Rocket grunts, then players will most likely battle them at designated PokeStops. There is also a high possibility that team Rockets will take over gyms and might necessitate players to team up with one another in order to defeat them.
There is a wide range of speculations when it comes to rewards of the anticipated return of Team Rocket. Additionally, players are talking about the three figures in the images which could be represented by the Shadow versions of Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres. The general speculation is that the upcoming activity will reward players with a Shadow Legendary bird.
It is worth noting that Shadow Pokemon are the rewards for defeating Team Rocket grunts, therefore, a Shadow reward for defeating a boss should be something exciting and huge. If the latest speculation is accurate to what the “Pokemon Go” Twitter account is hinting, then we will more about the details eventually. Meanwhile, players are having fun and are focusing on all the latest Gen 5 pokemon that were recently added in the augmented reality game.
Although not all Pokemon from Gen 5 has been introduced to the game there are at least 18 that players can start with, not including the pocket monsters’ evolved forms. ‘Pokemon Go” is currently available in different countries on iOS and Android devices.
