‘Pokémon Sun And Moon’ Patch 1.1 Fixes Z-Move, Rocky Helmet Glitches; Z-Parting Shot, Z-Memento Back In Online Battles
Game Freak and Nintendo are rolling out a new patch to the Nintendo 3DS-exclusive “Pokémon Sun and Moon.” This update reportedly fixes certain glitches affecting the gaming flow of many players. The release of the patch comes after it was announced that players failed to realize the second in-game global mission.
This Wednesday, patch version 1.1 is being seeded into the Generation VII Pokémon games. According to Serebii, this patch is 296 blocks to download, and it brings good news to players. Apparently, the update revives the Z-Parting Shot and Z-Memento features on Battle Spot in the online games.
When a Pokémon uses its Z-Power while holding Darkinium Z, it can perform the Z-Parting Shot and Z-Memento moves. The former lowers the opponent’s Attack and Special Attack by one stage, while the latter sharply lowers both. In the previous version, glitches in both moves caused “Pokémon Sun” and “Pokémon Moon” to crash, so Game Freak decided to remove them from the games, as per Dual Shockers.
With the new patch, Game Freak is enabling the two features once again, so players can use them in online battles. In addition, the glitch that’s affecting Rocky Helmet is also addressed by this patch. The patch also has a remedy for the glitch that wouldn’t allow a Pokémon to learn a move upon evolving, such as in the case of Kadabra and Confusion.
Players are advised to update their games via the eShop. They are also informed that with the new patch, previous saved battle videos will be unwatchable. The Z-Parting Shot and Z-Memento moves are still disabled for now but will go live starting Jan. 17, 2017 when Battle Spot Season 2 opens.
The release of “Pokémon Sun and Moon” patch 1.1 comes a day after The Pokémon Company revealed that players failed to hit the goals of the second global mission. Forbes has learned that players only managed to accomplish 60 percent of the mission that required them to capture or defeat 1 million monsters using the Island Scan feature
