‘Pokémon Sun And Moon's’ Mimikyu, Bewear Z-Moves Revealed; No Alola Forms For Pikachu And Exeggcute?
Nintendo U.K. just released a new trailer for “Pokémon Sun And Moon” featuring Legendaries Solgaleo and Lunala. Interestingly, the new teaser trailer showed more than just the titular Legendary Pokémon of the games that are hitting the U.S. market on Nov. 18 and the U.K. market on Nov. 23.
Apparently, the Nintendo U.K. trailer for the upcoming Pokémon titles showcases the Z-Moves of new Pokémon Mimikyu and Bewear. Prior this revelation, only the story behind the Disguise Pokémon and the Strong Arm Pokémon along with their special Abilities are known about them. Now, we have a clue what their Z-Moves would look like in the games.
In the trailer, Mimikyu, who is a Ghost/Fairy-type Pokémon, has the Z-Move called Never-Ending Nightmare. On the other hand, Bewear, who is a Normal/Fighting-type, has the Z-Move called All-Out Plummeting. Alolan Slandshash and Vikavolt’s Z-Moves are also teased, but the trailer does not reveal what they are called.
In addition to the Z-Moves, the new “Pokémon Sun and Moon” trailer also shows the transformation of first-generation Pokémon Pikachu, Marowak and Exeggcute into Alolan Raichu, Alolan Marowak and Alolan Exeggutor. Since the trailer only shows the evolution of the Pokémon into their Alolan evolved forms, it seems unlikely for Pikachu and Exeggcute to have Alolan forms.
Samson Oak could also be seen telling the Trainer that he is a Pokémon researcher studying the regional variants found in the Alola region before the three are seen transforming into their Alolan evolved forms. Perhaps he has the answer on why the two first-gen Pokémon did not need to have Alolan forms for them to turn into their Alolan evolved forms.
The Alolan counterparts of Raichu, Marowak and Exeggutor could be seen unleashing their special moves next. Alolan Exeggutor is seen using a giant hammer to hit its opponent, while both Alolan Raichu and Alolan Marowak appear to use balls of electricity and flame, respectively, to hit their opponents.
Other features that are presented in the new “Pokémon Sun and Moon” trailer include the members of Team Skull, the Aether Foundation headquarters and its people and the appearance of Ulta Beast UB-01 in front of Lusamine, Hau and the Hero of the games. The Kahuna named Hala and the Trial Captains — Lana, Captain mallow, Captain Sophocles and Kiawe — are also present in the teaser trailer.
