'Pokemon Sword And Shield' DLC News: Two Returning Pokemons Hinted On Twitter
KEY POINTS
- Over 200 Pokemon from previous generations are expected to return for the "Isle of Armor" DLC
- A Twitter user may have spotted a clue about a couple of those Pokemon returning off a blurry image
- Amoonguss and Foongus are popular Pokemon for their ability to use Spore and put opponents to sleep
A Twitter used who zoomed in on the trailer for the upcoming “Pokemon Sword and Shield” DLC may have just figured out a return for two popular characters.
With over 200 Pokemon from previous generations expected to return for the “Isle of Armor” DLC on the Nintendo Switch, at least 70 of those have been confirmed in the new trailer.
Still, one that was not immediately seen in the trailer may just have been spotted by Twitter user @Mattyoukhana_. After zooming in on one of the blurry images at the end of the trailer, he noticed what he believes to be an Amoonguss
. If the Grass/Poison Pokemon Amoonguss is indeed present, it is expected that a Foongus, the Pokemon it evolves from starting at level 39, will not be far behind.
Like Paras, Parasect, Shroomish, Morelull, and Shiinotic, both Amoonguss and Foongus can learn the Spore move. Spore allows these Pokemon to put their targets to sleep. If the opposing Pokemon wakes up, Amoonguss can not only take some solid hits but Regenerator, its Hidden Ability, will allow it to regenerate 1/3 of its health upon retreating.
Combining that with something like Stun Spore also makes Amoonguss a very hard to get rid of Pokemon that can consistently cripple opposing Pokemon.
Though no official word has been released on these suspected returns, it is expected that by June 17, players will be able to find out for themselves.
Players who want to get ready should be sure to cash in on the valuable Mystery Gifts that are being given out via “ Pokemon Sword,” “ Pokemon Shield" and “ Pokemon Home.”
Players that use “ Pokemon Home” can get the Galarian starters together with their Hidden Abilities for the first time. The “Pokemon Sword” and “Pokemon Shield ” Mystery gift will reveal a Hidden Ability Galarian Corsola, along with evolutionary items to make Slurpuff, Flapple, Appletun and both Antique and Phony form Polteageists.
Following “Isle of Armor,” the next Pokemon expansion pack has been announced as “The Crown Tundra.” This expansion will take players to a new snow-covered region to join an exploration team to discover what's inside Pokemon Dens.
