‘Pokémon Ultra Sun & Moon’ New Lycanroc Form Introduced Ahead Of Release
A new form of Rockruff’s evolutions has been introduced. Get more information below.
Over the weekend, The Pokémon Company revealed a new form of canine Pokémon Lycanroc. This new form will be joining the Pokémon Universe when Game Freak officially launches the new additions to the franchise, “Pokémon Ultra Sun” and “Pokémon Ultra Moon,” later this year.
Dusk Form Lycanroc Appearance
On the official announcement page, The Pokémon Company notes that Dusk Form Lycanroc will appear in the world of “Pokémon Ultra Sun & Moon.” Based on its physical appearance, the new form does not really stray from the Midday Form of the creature. What the game developers did was simply change the colors of Midday Lycanroc’s body and eyes to give the new form distinction.
What’s interesting about this new variant is the fact that Trainers won’t be able to catch it using ordinary methods. The Pokémon Company teased that the “mysterious” Dusk Form Lycanroc does not spawn readily in the wild. Details on how to catch the green-eyed canine Pokémon will be revealed at a later date.

Rockruff Evolutions Explained
New Pokémon Rockruff was introduced in “Pokémon Sun & Moon.” This Rock-Type Puppy Pokémon is known for its Keen Eye and Vital Spirit Abilities. It is also famous for standing bravely in battles even when it is faced with stronger opponents.
RockRuff has two evolutions, but the form the canine takes once it transforms depends on the game it is in. In “Pokémon Sun,” it only evolves into Midday Form Lycanroc. On the other hand, it becomes Midnight Form Lycanroc when playing “Pokémon Moon.”
“Pokémon Ultra Sun & Moon” Release Date
Previously, The Pokémon Company announced that new versions of “Pokémon Sun” and “Pokémon Moon” are coming to the Nintendo 3DS console. These new RPG games are scheduled for worldwide release on Nov. 17, 2017.
Based on the games’ Amazon preorder page, each title will cost $38.88 for the physical copy. The digital versions, which will be available immediately to players on the day of the games’ launch, cost $39.99.
Other Details About The New RPG Games
Not much has been divulged about “Pokémon Ultra Sun & Moon.” What Game Freak has disclosed thus far include the appearance of new Pokémon forms that are reminiscent of Legendary Pokémon Solgaleo, Lunala and Necrozma. The developer teased that there is actually a connection between these new forms and the ones that are currently appearing in “Pokémon Sun” and “Pokémon Moon.”
The new titles will come with new story additions and features, but more information about them will only be revealed in the near future. Fans are also anticipating details on the new Alolan Forms, the updated National Pokedex and possibly new islands.
Just like last year’s “Pokémon Sun and Moon,” “Pokémon Ultra Sun and Moon” will come with support for nine languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.
