The “Pokken Tournament” arcade fighting game has been available only in Japan, but now it is getting a worldwide release – for Wii U, according to an announcement by The Pokémon Company Friday.

The news was released during the Pokémon World Championships in Boston, with the company telling fans the game should be coming in the spring.

With "Tekken" publisher Bandai Namco handling the development, it should be a decent port from the arcade version.

“Pokken Tournament,” similar to the "Tekken" and "Street Fighter" franchises, sees playable Pokémon battling it out fighter-style. On Friday, a new fighter also was revealed for the game, Pikachu Libre.

Charizard and Weavile were announced in July, with more characters being added to the game all the time.
