Police raid Charlie Sheen's Beverly Hills home
Charlie Sheen had a little surprise visit Thursday night from the Los Angeles Police Department. Officers raided his home searching for firearms.
LAPD detectives responded to Charlie Sheen's home this evening to investigate a possible violation of a temporary restraining order, LAPD spokeswoman Norma Eisenman told People of the Thursday night visit to his home in Beverly Hills.
It came to the attention of the LAPD that Sheen is the registered owner of firearms, the LAPD said in a statement Thursday evening. They conducted their investigation at Sheen's home to determine if he is in possession of firearms and ammunition in violating of the [restraining order].
The police officers confiscated bullets and an antique gun. Sheen was not arrested or detained.
Sheen's lawyer, Mark P. Gross, said that the troubled actor was eating dinner while the police were conducting their search.
This is the second visit from police officers Sheen's had in the recent days. Just last week officers arrived to remove his twin boys from his custody after his soon-to-be ex-wife Brook Mueller obtained a restraining order.
According to the restraining order, the restrained person cannot possess, have, buy or try to buy, receive or try to receive, or in any other way get guns, other firearms or ammunition.
After the police left Sheen's home, the actor tweeted, The LAPD were awesome. Absolute pros! They can protect and serve this Warlock anytime!!
