Pork And Poultry Recall 2019: Undeclared Milk And Soy Allergens Prompt Recall
Another meat recall has been issued, this time by Market of Choice, Inc. The company is recalling 1,094 pounds of pork and poultry pâté products for undeclared milk and soy allergens that were not included on the label.
The recalled pork and poultry pâté were produced before March 26 and have a 30-day shelf life. They were distributed to Market of Choice retail locations in Oregon. Labels of the recalled products can be viewed here.
The affected pork and poultry products include:
- 5-ounce packages with slices of Market of Choice Country Pâté with sell-by dates prior to and including 04/25/19.
- 5-ounce packages with slices of Market of Choice Chicken Pâté with Rosemary & Lemon with sell-by dates prior to and including 04/25/19.
- Whole terrine bulk packages of Market of Choice Northwest Game Pâté with sell-by dates prior to and including 04/25/19.
- Terrine bulk packages of Country Pork & Pistachio Pâté Market of Choice with sell-by dates prior to and including 04/25/19.
- Terrine bulk packages of Lemon Chicken & Rosemary Pâté Market of Choice with sell-by dates prior to and including 04/25/19.
Market of Choice has not received as any reports of illness from the recalled pork and poultry products. Consumers concerned about the consumption of the affected pâté should contact their health care provider.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is urging consumers to check their refrigerators and freezers for the recalled pork and poultry products. Consumers are urged not to consume the affected products. They should throw them away or return them to the place of purchase.
