Porn Star, Hollywood Actress Set To Fight In Celebrity Boxing Match

An American porn star is set to face a former Hollywood actress in a celebrity boxing match.

Combat sports isn’t for everybody, but celebrities are always an exception as they generate a tremendous amount of interest and profit for any fight promotion. In fact, it’s always entertaining to see celebrities try their luck in combat sports. For obvious reasons, fans are often curious to see how celebrities would do in a real fight. And things could get even more interesting if an adult film star will take on a former Hollywood actress inside the boxing ring.

That’s what is bound to happen at the “Booby Trap” strip club in Miami on April 18. Porn movie actress Mary Carey is set to take on former child actress Tami Erin in a celebrity boxing match, The Sun reported.

Carey, a former Playboy model, signed a contract with celebrity boxing promoter Damon Feldman and has finally found an opponent. She will go head-to-head against Erin, a former child actress who is best known for her starring role in the 1988 movie “The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking.”

The 39-year-old porn stunner confirmed the bout as she shared a promotional picture to her Instagram page. Alongside the image, Carey wrote a caption revealing that she was once obsessed with Erin’s classic movie and even dressed up as her during Halloween for several years.

"I guess I have to box Pippi Longstocking! Fun fact: I was obsessed with the movie when I was eight years old so this will be fun. I dressed up as her for Halloween multiple years," Carey wrote.

Surprisingly, it appears that adult film actresses are now starting a new norm – entering combat sports. Last October, another porn star made her MMA debut at famous MMA fight promotion Bellator.

Orion Starr, who referred to herself as “Your favorite porn star MMA fighter,” fought under her real name Rebecca Bryggman at Bellator 231. Unfortunately, she suffered a horrible defeat on her pro MMA debut and took a pounding at the fists of Elise Reed, a fighter who takes pride for being “the highest-ranked woman in Virginia Military Institute history .”

Bryggman, 25, competed twice in the MMA amateur ranks under the Triton Fights banner. She was able to win on both occasions before being signed by Bellator. Her devastating loss against fellow debutant Reed in their atomweight bout at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut was her first and only defeat thus far.
