Porn Star Ron Jeremy Used Same Tactics In Luring And Raping Women, Victims Claim
At least 21 women have accused adult film actor Ron Jeremy of leveraging his celebrity status to rape and sexually assault women. According to grand jury testimony from his victims that was unsealed Saturday, the actor used the same methods of molesting and raping women for years.
One of his alleged victims, identified only as Jane Doe 8, claimed in her testimony that Jeremy sexually assaulted her in a small bathroom just minutes after they met at a bar and grill in West Hollywood. "Wouldn't it be funny if we got a picture and an autograph from him?" the woman said.
"I was like, wow, you know, this is Ron Jeremy, I mean, I was kind of impressed. I'm like he's—I don't want to say 'celebrity,' but you know, he kind of was," another woman recalled. In her testimony, she claimed Jeremy came to the door of a hotel room she was sharing with her friends, where he raped her later.
Another woman, identified only as Jane Doe 5, claimed Jeremy sexually assaulted her in 2004 when she was only 15. She said she did not recognize him initially when the director approached him at a rave he was hosting in Santa Clarita, California.
Popularly known as "The Hedgehog," Jeremy is one of the most prolific performers in the adult film industry. He also became a recognizable pop cultural novelty through his appearances in reality shows and music videos. Because of his status, he has been a magnet for women aged 15 to 51 who ask for his autographs and selfies.
Jeremy has been behind bars since June 2020, after several women came forward to accuse him of rape and sexual assault. The 68-year-old adult film personality pleaded not guilty to more than 30 counts of sexual assault, including 12 counts of rape, when the Los Angeles County grand jury returned an indictment against him on Aug. 25. His lawyer, Stuart Goldfarb, also maintained that his client is "innocent of all the charges."
Meanwhile, Jeremy's alleged victims said he used the same tactics in baiting women. According to them, he would lure women to the employee bathroom of the Rainbow Bar and Grill on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood by telling them he knew a bathroom they could use when the public restrooms were closed.
Before his arrest, Jeremy was a popular regular at the said Bar and Grill, where he had permission to use the employee bathroom.
