The top after-market NASDAQ gainers Thursday were: Shutterfly, Ascena Retail Group, Flow International, Alaska Communications Systems Group, Merge Healthcare, Hercules Offshore, Zynga Inc, Immersion Corp, Collectors Universe and BGC Partners.
Shutterfly, Inc. (SFLY) stock climbed 16.98 percent to $31.48 in post market trading session. Eastman Kodak Co announced that it has agreed to sell its online photo services business to SFLY for $23.8 million.
Ascena Retail Group, Inc. (ASNA) stock climbed 9.88 percent to $42.80 in aftermarket trading session. The company reported second quarter net profit of $63.7 million or $0.81 per share compared to $42.5 million or $0.52 per share in the same quarter last year and against analysts’ estimation of $0.67 per share.
For fiscal 2012, the company currently expects earnings to be in a range of $2.75 to $2.80 per share compared to its prior estimation of $2.60 to $2.70 per share and against analysts’ estimation of $2.66 per share.
Flow International Corp. (FLOW) stock climbed 8.33 percent to $4.29 in post market trading session. Its third quarter net profit rose to $3.3 million or $0.07 per shares from $1.2 million or $0.03 per share in the same period a year-ago.
Alaska Communications Systems Group, Inc. (ALSK) stock surged 7.12 percent to $3.31 in aftermarket trading session. The company swung to fourth quarter net profit of $0.05 per share compared to net loss of $0.03 per share in the same quarter last year. Merge Healthcare Inc. (MRGE) stock gained 5.69 percent to $6.69 in aftermarket trading session.
Hercules Offshore, Inc. (HERO) stock advanced 5.19 percent to $5.47 in post market trading session.
Zynga Inc. (ZNGA) stock advanced 4.63 percent to $15.15 in post market trading session after gaining nearly 10 percent in regular trading. The company is launching a new games service that allows users to play on the company's website instead of Facebook, potentially driving traffic away from the world's No. 1 social network that is its biggest partner, Reuters reported.
Immersion Corp. (IMMR) stock gained 4.34 percent to $6.49 in aftermarket trading session. Its fourth quarter net loss narrowed to $0.01 per share from $0.08 per share in the same period last year.
Collectors Universe, Inc. (CLCT) stock advanced 4.04 percent to $16.21 in post market trading session.
BGC Partners, Inc. (BGCP) stock advanced 3.42 percent to $7.25 in aftermarket trading session. The stock has a 52-week low of $5.40, a 52-week high of $10.07 and $925.80 million in market capitalization.
