Nasdaq profit ahead of expectations

The top after-market NASDAQ losers Wednesday were: Blue Nile, Digital Generation, Clearwire Corp, Avis Budget Group, NVIDIA, Equinix, Tangoe and Ancestry.com.

Blue Nile, Inc. (NILE) stock slumped 22.78percent to 32.30 in post market trading session. The company reported fourth quarter net profit of $4.22 million or $0.30 per share compared to $6.18 million or $0.41 per share in the same period last year and against analysts’ estimation of $0.42 per share.

For the first quarter, the company expects net income to be in a range of $0.04 to $0.07 per share on revenues of $81 to $84 million, while analysts’ expect the company to report net income of $0.17 per share on revenue s of $86.32 million.

Digital Generation, Inc. (DGIT) stock slumped 11.7 percent to $12.00 in aftermarket trading session. The company reported fourth quarter non-GAAP net income of $10.9 million, or $0.40 per share compared to non-GAAP net income of $21.7 million or $0.76 per share in the same quarter a year-ago.

Clearwire Corp. (CLWR) stock slumped 11.44 percent to $2.09 in aftermarket trading session. The company reported fourth quarter net loss of $0.81 per share on revenue of $361.9 million, while analysts’ expected the company to report loss of $0.35 per share on revenues of $356.72 million. The company expects fiscal 2012 revenue to be in a range of $1.15 to $1.25 billion compared to analysts’ estimation of $1.37 billion.

Avis Budget Group, Inc. (CAR) stock slumped 10.42 percent to $13.07 in post market trading session. Its fourth quarter net loss widened to $170 million or $1.62 per share from $24 million or $0.23 per share in the same period a year-ago.

NVIDIA Corp. (NVDA) stock plunged 5.38 percent to $15.30 in post market trading session as its fourth quarter revenue guidance fell short of expectations. The company expects first quarter revenue to be in a range of $900 to $930 million compared to analysts’ estimation of $944.85 million. NVDA also reported fourth quarter net profit of $116.0 million or $0.19 per share compared to $171.7 million or $0.29 per share in the same quarter a year-ago.

Equinix, Inc. (EQIX) stock declined 5.68 percent to $120.18 in aftermarket trading session. The company reported fourth quarter net profit of $0.35 per share compared to $0.29 per share in the same quarter last year, but fell short of analysts’ estimation of $0.44.

Tangoe, Inc. (TNGO) stock declined 5.41 percent to $15.90 in post market trading session. The company reported fourth quarter net profit of $0.08 per share on revenues of $29.2 million compared to analysts’ estimation of $0.07 per share on revenues of $28.11 million.

Ancestry.com, Inc. (ACOM) stock declined 5.33 percent to $27.00 in aftermarket trading session as its first quarter revenue guidance fell short of expectation. The company expects first quarter revenue to be in a range of $106 to $108 million compared to analysts’ estimation of $108.88 million. The company also said its fourth quarter net profit rose to $18.3 million or $0.40 per share from $12.6 million or $0.25 per share in the same quarter a year-ago.
