Net income rose to $319 million or $0.65 per share from $256 million or $0.50 per share in the same period last year. Revenue rose to $1.26 billion from $1.14 billion last year, while analysts’ expected the company to report net income of $0.54 per share on revenue of $1.21 billion for the third quarter.
Saba Software, Inc. (NASDAQ:SABA) shares climbed 9.76 percent to $10.80 in aftermarket trading session. The stock has a 52-week low of $5.07, a 52-week high of $10.62 and $293.09 million in market capitalization.
Cirrus Logic, Inc. (NASDAQ:CRUS) shares surged 7.55 percent to $23.45 in post market trading session as outstanding first quarter earnings from Apple lifted shares of smaller companies that supply chips for the iPhone.
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) shares climbed 7.3 percent to $451.08 in post market trading session Tuesday after reporting first quarter earnings. Its first quarter net income more than double to $13.06 billion or $13.87 per share from $6.00 billion or $6.43 per share in the same period last year.
For the second quarter, the company expects earnings to be about $8.50 per share on revenue of $32.5 billion, while analysts’ are expecting the company to report quarterly net income of $8.04 per share on revenue of $32.1 billion.
TriQuint Semiconductor, Inc. (NASDAQ:TQNT) shares gained 7.24 percent to $6.22 in post market trading session as outstanding first quarter earnings from Apple lifted shares of smaller companies that supply chips for the iPhone.

NVIDIA Corp. (NASDAQ:NVDA) shares declined 4.28 percent to $14.30 in post market trading session after lowering its fourth quarter revenue guidance.
For the fourth quarter, the company currently expects revenue to be $950 million, plus or minus 1 percent, compared to prior estimation of $1.066 billion, plus or minus 2 percent, and against Analysts’ expectations of $1.06 billion.
Nektar Therapeutics (NASDAQ:NKTR) shares declined 3.47 percent to $5.85 in aftermarket trading session.
