‘Power’ Season 3 Spoilers: LaLa Anthony Returning As LaKeisha After Her Fling With Shawn

We may not have many details about Season 3 of "Power," but one thing fans can count on is more sass from Tasha St. Patrick's (Naturi Naughton) best friend LaKeisha (LaLa Anthony). The former reality star and MTV VJ announced on Twitter Thursday that her character will be back for the upcoming season of the hit Starz series.

Last season, Anthony shocked some of her fans when she decided to go topless for a sex scene with Shawn (Sinqua Walls). At the time the 36-year-old actress explained to BuzzFeed that she chose to strip for the camera because she was ready to take her acting career more seriously.

“I just feel like if I am taking acting seriously — and this is what I’m doing — then how can I be an actress that has never had a love scene or a sex scene? It seems a little unrealistic,” Anthony said. “If you look at all the great actresses, the people who are doing great work, they’ve all had sex scenes or love scenes. I just thought career-wise, it made sense.”

After LaKeisha ended up sleeping with Shawn, the character found out her BFF Tasha had also been messing around the bodyguard and personal driver. As fans will remember, Shawn was killed last season by his own father Kanan (50 Cent).

Starz renewed "Power" for a third season in June following high ratings for the series. Last month, Deadline reported Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson signed a two-year deal with Starz that would allow him to create other projects for the network as well as continue to executive produce "Power."

Other cast members on the series include Omari Hardwick as Ghost, Lela Loren as Angela and Joseph Sikora as Tommy.
