‘Power’ Season 4 Spoilers: Synopsis, Set Photos Tease Ghost’s Prison Stint, Return Of ‘Old Foes’ And Tasha Reunion
“Power” Season 4 will see James "Ghost” St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick) fighting for his freedom.
Starz has released new teaser photos and the synopsis for “Power” Season 4, which revealed that the upcoming installment will pick up right where the last season left off. In the Season 3 finale, Ghost finally managed to take down Milan (Callan Mulvey) with the help of Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora), and he was working to get back into the Bassetts' good graces. But shortly after, he was arrested by his ex-girlfriend, Assistant U.S. Attorney Angela Valdes (Lela Loren), for the murder of Greg Knox (Andy Bean). And while Ghost may not have killed Greg, he has a long list of crimes that could still land him some considerable jail time.
“Ghost can’t outrun his past choices and mounting enemies this season, which threaten his freedom and his family’s safety at every turn,” read the synopsis released by Starz. “His fight for redemption brings him face-to-face with the Feds, the media, new allies, and old foes. But the biggest obstacle for Ghost remains himself and his internal struggle between the man he wants to be and the one he really is.”
In one of the teaser photos released by Starz, Ghost can be seen wearing an orange prison jumpsuit. He has a visitor whose face isn’t shown in the picture, but it could be Tasha (Naturi Naughton), judging by the long, curly hair. The second photo showed Tasha in a courtroom, looking worried. She’s likely attending Ghost’s trial, which, by the look on her face, isn’t going well.
Tasha might also be worrying about their son Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr.), who was kidnapped by Kanan (Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson) and Jukebox (Anika Noni Rose). She could also be thinking of her best friend LaKeisha (La La Anthony), who found out last season that Tasha was running a money-laundering scheme in the salon right under her nose. Milan had ordered Tommy to get rid of Keisha, but her fate wasn’t revealed in the final episodes of “Power” Season 3. It looks like fans will have to wait for “Power” Season 4 to find out whether or not Tariq and Keisha will come out alive.
Meanwhile, Naughton previously shared a photo from the Manhattan set of “Power” Season 4 on her Instagram account. “#TashaAndTommy back at it again! #PowerTV #Season4 #420text #Blazzzin #InTheMustang #Manhattan,” she captioned the pic. The photo seemed to hint that Tasha and Tommy will team up next season, perhaps to help Ghost get out of prison.
“Power” Season 4 is set to premiere in summer 2017 on Starz. Meanwhile, check out the teaser clip and photos for the upcoming installment of the Starz series below!
