Powerball Lottery February 13: How, When To Play For $242 Million Jackpot
It is the middle of the week, which means there are two opportunities to win big money from different lotteries. The Mega Millions lottery has its first drawing of the week on Tuesday night, but for those who prefer Powerball, the next drawing is only 24 hours later.
The winning Powerball numbers will be drawn on Wednesday night at 11 p.m. ET. The jackpot this time is a massive $242 million, since nobody won Saturday’s grand prize. There will also be a Power Play multiplier to jack up the winnings even more for those lucky enough to get it.
There was a $224 million jackpot in play on Saturday with a 3X Power Play multiplier, but nobody matched all six numbers. A player in Iowa won $2 million and three others managed to walk away with $1 million each, so some people did get big paydays.
Tickets can be purchased as late as an hour or two before the drawing time, according to the Powerball website. Certain lotteries will sell Powerball tickets online, in case that is easier for some players. The $242 million jackpot on Wednesday also carries a cash value of $148.1 million.
