Powerball Results March 9: Winning Numbers, Who Won The $414 Million Jackpot?
After a poor start to the weekend by the Mega Millions lottery, Saturday night’s Powerball drawing had the opportunity to make lottery players significantly more happy. While it may not have been a marquee night for the Powerball lottery, at least a couple of people went home with huge paydays.
The winning numbers on Saturday night were 5, 6, 45, 55 and 59, with a Powerball number of 14. The Power Play multiplier this time around was 3X, so players had the opportunity to triple their winnings if they were lucky enough to get it.
Nobody managed to get the jackpot or the Match 5 prize with the Power Play multiplier, but two lucky winners did snag the Match 5 prize of $1 million. They were in Indiana and Maryland, according to the Powerball website.
By comparison, Friday night’s Mega Millions winner did not produce a single Match 5 winner at all. The biggest amount anyone won in that lottery to start the weekend was $10,000.
Since nobody won the $414 million Powerball jackpot, it will just keep growing. The grand prize will be $448 million on Wednesday, with a cash value of $271.7 million.
