Powermat Launches Wireless Charging System for T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide

Coinciding with the launch of T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide, Powermat has released a dedicated wireless charging solution for the smartphone.

The new technology allows users to wirelessly charge their Smartphones by replacing the battery cover on the device with a Powermat receiver that imitates the look and feel of the smartphone's original battery cover.

Users can simply 'drop and charge' their myTouch 4G Slide on any Powermat to begin wireless power delivery. The Powermat wireless charging solution for the myTouch 4G Slide will be sold exclusively by T-Mobile.

T-Mobile's myTouch 4G Slide features a 3.7-inch WVGA super LCD touch-screen with 800x480 screen resolution, and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The smartphone runs on Android 2.3 or Gingerbread juice and boasts of an 8MP rear-facing and a VGA front-facing camera.

myTouch 4G Slide offers pre-installed 8GB microSD expandable to 32GB. It is 0.52-inch thick and weighs about 6.5oz. The phone offers QWERTY keypad and offers a Genius Button for one shot voice commands to enable calls and to text or search on the Web.
