Questcor Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (QCOR) stock rallied 8.12 percent to $28.49 in pre-market trading. The company stock slumped nearly 48 percent in regular trading Wednesday after insurer Aetna Inc. said it would limit the reimbursement of one of the company's primary drugs, the H.P. Acthar medicine for multiple sclerosis and infant seizures.
Prana Biotechnology Ltd. (PRAN) stock climbed 5.24 percent to $2.61 in pre-market trading. The company announced that it had been cited in an interview in The Life Sciences Report with George Zavoico, Ph.D., senior equity analyst and managing director with MLV & Co., as the only drug company to address in clinical trials the control of transition metal levels in neuronal synapses, a key event in age-related dysfunction of the brain.
Tata Motors Ltd. (TTM) stock gained 1.43 percent to $24.90 in pre-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $14.33, a 52-week high of $30.63 and $78.31 billion in market capitalization.
Norfolk Southern Corp. (NSC) stock tumbled 5.09 percent to $68.99 in pre-market trading. The company announced the third quarter 2012 earnings to be below the same quarter last year, primarily due to volume declines in certain markets and lower revenues from fuel surcharges. NSC expects third quarter net income to be in the range of $1.18 to $1.25 per diluted share compared to analysts’ estimate of $1.64 per share.
Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. (BBBY) stock plunged 5.07 percent to $65.30 in pre-market trading. The company announced second quarter net income of $224.3 million or $0.98 per share compared to $229.4 million or $0.93 per share in the same period last year but fell short of Reuters' estimate of $1.02 per share.
BHP Billiton Plc (BBL) stock plunged 3.24 percent to $62.77 in pre-market trading. The company has shelved plans to build a $3 billion coking coal mine in Queensland as part of the spending cuts announced by the miner last month, Reuters has reported citing the Australian newspaper.
Dendreon Corp. (DNDN) stock declined 2.58 percent to $5.28 in pre-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $4.17, a 52-week high of $17.04 and $836.65 million in market capitalization.
Facebook Inc. (FB) stock declined nearly 1 percent to $23.07 in pre-market trading. The company stock rallied more than 6 percent in regular trading Wednesday.
