Pregnant Kate Middleton Stuns In Blue Gown At Royal Variety Performance
Prince William and Kate Middleton had a date night at the Royal Variety Performance.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the Royal Variety Performance at the Palladium Theatre in London on Friday. Prince William and Middleton stepped out together and left their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte at their home in Kensington Palace, People reported.
For the event, the pregnant royal mom looked gorgeous in her baby blue embellished gown by her favorite British designer, Jenny Packham. Meanwhile, Prince William sported a black classic tuxedo.
Miranda Hart hosted the event. Louis Tomlinson and The Killers were among the performers.
Prince William and Middleton visibly enjoyed the night as the mom of two were spotted giggling. Meanwhile, Prince Harry's brother was forced to join in the show's audience participation in a comedy skit where he shouted Hart's catch-phrase "such fun" on request.
Hart compelled the royal prince to participate on her to-do list for the Royal Variety duties. She also hoped to hear him say her other trademark "knighting me with a lightsaber." Meanwhile, Middleton was seen bursting out laughing as the spotlight fell on her.
Kensington Palace has announced Prince William and Middleton's attendance at the Royal Variety Performance earlier this week on Twitter. "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will attend the Royal Variety Performance at the Palladium Theatre on 24th November," the statement read.
The publication noted that on the same night, there was a scare caused by mass panic at nearby Oxford Circus station. The Metropolitan Police responded to numerous emergency calls about shots being fired, but there was no evidence. There were also no casualties.
The Royal Variety Performance is an annual event in the United Kingdom which Queen Elizabeth is a patron. It aims to raise money for the Royal Variety Charity that helps hundreds of performers throughout the UK who need assistance due to old age, poor health or financial problems.
Every year, a member of the royal family is tasked to witness the celebration that includes family entertainment like comedy, music, dance, magic and other special acts. Last year, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles were assigned to grace the event.
Prince William and Middleton's attendance at the Royal Variety Performance on Friday was not their first. The couple first attended the annual event in 2014 when Middleton was expecting Princess Charlotte.
