KEY POINTS

  • Dybala has yet to unleash full potential
  • Dybala needs to find a way to co-exist with Ronaldo
  • Juventus will benefit if Dybala unloads hidden talent

One of the stars over at Juventus is Paulo Dybala, someone who has a lot of potential. And while he has been doing well for Maurizio Sarri, some believe he has yet to truly show what he can do. At only 26, there are people like former Italian footballer Alessandro Del Piero who believe the best is yet to come.

But for Dybala to unleash that hidden talent in him, Del Piero believes he needs to dig deep and find it. What most are seeing now is impressive but the Argentine forward can still take it up a notch with more push on his end.

“The kind of goal that he scored against Inter proves that he is a player of extraordinary quality," the Juve legend said to Gazzetta Dello Sport. "What a goal like that must do is give him even more confidence and awareness of his potential."

Since arriving from Inter Milan in 2015, Dybala has struggled to co-exist with Cristiano Ronaldo onboard. The reason behind is obvious with Ronaldo now the main man over at Juventus. And while he now plays second fiddle, Dybala needs to do more to show Sarri and the football world that what they are seeing right now is nothing compared to what he is truly capable of.

So far in 34 appearances, Dybala has had 13 goals and 12 assists. Those are impressive accomplishments for any ordinary footballer. But the problem with Dybala is that he is someone oozing with talent and all of it is going to waste if he does not find a way to unleash it and show the football world, Goal.com reported.

With football action on hiatus, Dybala could use the time off to do some soul-searching. While it is true that Ronaldo is the star of the show, he cannot sit back and be content with his current performance. For Del Piero, Dybala's journey has only begun and he needs to work his way up to become one of the prime stars of the league.

“Dybala’s journey has just begun and will get even better – with the Bianconeri jersey on his back, obviously,” Del Piero said.
