KEY POINTS

  • Edin Dzeko to sign with Juventus soon
  • Luis Suarez chances of moving to Juve just got canned
  • Suarez could stay at Barca or move to Atletico Madrid

All hopes of possibly seeing Luis Suarez head to Juventus FC may be dashed soon. Reports are ripe that Bianconeri is nearing a deal with Edin Dzeko, filling up a slot that was previously seen to be perfect for the 33-year-old player.

The deal for the Bosnian is believed to be worth roughly $9 million. Aside from that, the Bianconeri side will be paying Roma $19 for his services.

The move does make sense for Dzeko. Roma is taking in Arkadiusz Milik, a development that could displace him, Goal reported. That said, the 34-year-old would best take his act elsewhere and Juventus Stadium was the logical choice. The two –year deal he will sign could be potentially the last for his football career, ending a five-year spell.

He starts with a fresh chapter and will beef up the attacking line headlined by Cristiano Ronaldo. Pirlo continues to revamp Juve’s offensive options and Suarez was previously singled-out that someone who made sense. Unfortunately, there was a sudden change in the player for that position.

There is reason to believe tha Dzeko could spell a difference. He is accomplished a lot in his career. This includes title wins in Germany and England. Also, he was one of the vital cogs for his side during the World Cup in 2014 in Brazil.

As for Suarez, this raises a lot of questions about his future. Most know that the Uruguayan was told to look for another club by new manager Ronald Koeman. The 33-year-old is not in the plans of Barcelona but it appears his situation at Camp Nou is a bit murky.

There are claims that he may just stay put with Suarez teasing on social media of possibly staying with the Catalan giants. One reason seen by most is his relationship with Lionel Messi, someone who made a surprise u-turn after initially appearing to be bent on bolting Blaugrana.

As mentioned in a previous post, his move to Juve was not a done deal. Though he was believed to be working on Italian passport requirements, it appears there has been a sudden change in trajectory. Even if he does leave, there are other clubs interested in his services.

Atletico Madrid is keeping tabs with his situation although nothing has prospered. But with the recent Dzeko signing of Juventus, something may just come up moving forward.
