  • Red Devils continue pursuit of Grealish despite financial woes
  • Grealish may not blend in well with United
  • Grealish an asset to any Premier League team

Jack Grealish of Aston Villa will be one of the top targets by the next transfer window with Manchester United at the top of the heap. Despite financial adversities, the word going around is that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is bent on bringing in the 24-year-old to Old Trafford.

There is no denying Grealish has had a good season despite Aston Villa's struggles. Before football action came to a grinding halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the English midfielder amassed seven goals and six assists in Premier League action. With that performance, some personalities are hardly surprised why most teams are in hot pursuit of Grealish.

That includes Hourihae who feels Grealish is in a class of his own. He went on to say during a podcast that Grealish is too good for Aston Villa.

"He’s taken it by storm. You know, England team and getting that big move is only a matter of time because, if I’m being brutally honest, he’s too good for our team at Aston Villa," Hourihae said.

Aside from him, former United player Paul Ince had high praises for Grealish. He feels that the 24-year-old is an asset for any team. But as far as fitting in with the Red Devils, it appears he has some reservations. He sees some balancing issues ahead and seems unsure if his inclusion can improve United's fortunes next season.

"All this talk of creative players, you’ve got to be careful about getting the balance – you still need a defensive block," Ince said. "I’m just happy United are now in the market for these types of players again. But will they challenge next season? I’m still not sure," he added.

Other teams reportedly interested in Grealish include Manchester City, Liverpool, and Tottenham. Solskjaer is determined to take him in despite some financial warnings raised by vice-chairman Ed Woodward.

It will be interesting how Solskjaer will be able to pull strings and bring Grealish to United. Most teams are expected to hold off any major moves this coming transfer window as they try to curb losses. Only a select few big names are likely to be on the move. And based on the feedback from credible personalities, it appears Grealish has made that level.
