  • Jorginho transfer rumors to Juventus shot down
  • Jorginho to discuss contract extension with Chelsea
  • Santos had held no talks with Juventus officials

Jorge Luiz Frello Filho (Jorginho) has long been linked to a possible move to Juventus, a move that would reunite him with Maurizio Sarri. But it appears all these are nothing more than rumors and Jorginho may end up signing a contract extension with the Blues instead according to his agent, Joao Santos.

Santos revealed that he knows nothing about a possible move by his client to Juventus. Jorginho did not exactly strike it well at first when word came out that he could reunite with his former mentor. Making things worse was the fact that he struggled to fit in at Stamford Bridge. However, a lot has changed since then.

Having fully adjusted, Jorginho has proven his worth and has become a vital piece for Frank Lampard. Aside from that, he also has three years left in his current deal. But the most telling part is Santos saying that he has never had any talks with Juventus or Sarri regarding Jorginho, Calciomercato reported.

“I read that, but I never had contact with them," Santos said. “As of today, I know absolutely nothing about this situation. The lad is very happy in London, where he is proving his worth and still has three years left on his contract," he added.

Further twisting things is Santos revealing that they may hold talks with Chelsea on possibly adding a fourth year to the current pact or extend his contract.

“I don’t know what Juve’s transfer strategy is, but these are our plans for the future," Santos said.

The recent revelation is a big turnaround from the signals that Santos was sending back in February. At the time, he mentioned how it was not impossible for Jorginho to possibly leave Chelsea. That practically sparked the Juventus rumor talks, Goal.com reported.

Of course, Santos could bat that these were nothing more than keeping their options open. Talks will come and such is the norm that most teams and players undergo especially when transfer windows near. But for now, there seems to be no immediate reason for Jorginho to seek a transfer with Santos claiming that the 28-year-old Brazilian footballer is enjoying his time with The Blues.

"Personally, he is doing very well at Chelsea, and I am sure that some important proposals will come because in his role there are not many high-level players like him around," Santos said.
